Based in the Rhein Neckar region, I weave on a parallel countermarsh loom - no electricity!
Creating pieces in a multitude of sizes ranging from 20 cm x 20 cm flannel size to 160 cm width x 200 cm or longerfor blankets, throws, scarves, towels or simply material.
There is a stash one can choose from or the opportunity to choose your colours, material, pattern to creat the scarf/ towel/ throw you have been dreaming of.
Materials
For weaving I work with 2 types of yarn, bought or homespun
The cotton, cotton linen mix and linen are sourced from the Netherlands or Canada. These are mostly BIO and G.O.T.S. certified qualities. Very occasionally I have used Bamboo or Silk for a project.
The wool I currently use is sourced from English sheep living in the north of England.
The home spun is directly from the sheeps’ back; yes we do all the processing - sorting, washing, carding, spinning, dying, and weaving.
My current favorite pattern possibilities :
Open twill with the freedom to flow
Waffle for extra dimension
And lace whole holes

Recommended laundry
40°C, low spin.
Tumble dry on low temperature and iron lightly if desired.
If necessary, the cloth can be washed at 60°C.
